Counselling has helped many people manage through difficult times
What is Counselling?
In a counselling session, you can explore and discuss any problems you are experiencing, knowing it’s a safe and confidential space. Some people who come to counselling may not know what is causing their distress, whilst others know what the issues are.
When the problem/s is clearly understood, you will be supported to decide what is important for you to focus on and the outcomes you want to achieve.
So, counselling is the process of facilitating you through a therapeutic conversation which ideally helps you to move towards the outcomes you are looking for.

Benefits of Counselling
For any problem, it is important to know the ‘how and why’ of the problem.
During a difficult time or crisis, it can be overwhelming with many emotions and thoughts racing through us all at once, but there may also be times when there seems to be a complete blanking out when it's difficult to feel or think at all.
Talking with a counsellor can provide you with an opportunity to really be seen, heard and understood. Your counsellor will provide a space that supports therapeutic exploration and reflection, leading to personal growth, new insights and understandings of your own self, others and life.
You will be supported and encouraged to manage in healthy ways. You may learn new ways of coping and identify your own personal resources and capabilities, which are sometimes lost or buried in times of confusion and anxiety.

How I Work With You
The relationship between a counsellor and a client is a therapeutic one. At all times, I will provide you with a caring, non-judgmental, safe and confidential environment to work through the counselling process. At times I may ask questions to bring about clarity around specific issues so you can understand what they mean to you and how they impact you. You will be respected and encouraged to work towards positive outcomes that will enhance your well-being.
